Update May 2022

Current status as of May 2022

B4RN's current infrastructure is currently just south of Tibenham Long Row, which means that they are only 1.6km from the Community Hall. This is very close and is a distance that can be covered in a relatively short period of time. Unlike other providers, B4RN do not have to complete an entire network before connecting anybody - they are able to connect people in stages as the work progresses.

The network is developed by the community for the community, and is not purely for profit. B4RN's record of handling problems is vastly superior to any other provider: a recent problem identified locally was repaired within 90 minutes of being notified. Very few providers would be able to compete with that level of service.

In addition B4RN have a Social Tariff at £15 per month to assist those less able to afford a broadband connection. See details on the service charge page.

These facts easily make B4RN the provider of choice in a rural area, so we need to do everything we can to bring this service into our community.

We need as many people as possible to register interest with B4RN - unlike other providers, this does not commit you to a contract until such time as the service is available for connection to your property. Volunteers who are able to assist with the project are also very welcome - please use the contact form to register your interest.

Another way to assist the Tibenham project, for those who can afford it, is to invest in B4RN. You can send them a pledge for your chosen amount and they will only ask you to pay over the money when the project is ready to proceed. Such investment currently has a return of 5% - details may be found on the B4RN Investors page.

Please attend the Open Day on the 19th June for more information about getting B4RN in Tibenham and to talk to others who already have the service, who can tell you more about it.
